Treasury Analyst

Primary Function

The Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury Manager, be a key member of the Treasury and Accounting team and will be responsible for a variety of activities within the functional areas.

The primary role of this position will be to perform daily cash management and debt related functions for Corporate, numerous regulated utilities, and unregulated businesses in four different states.

In addition, this position will also be responsible for monitoring bank fees, depositing checks remotely, and clearing checks from SAP. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of cash management experience.

  • Perform daily cash management functions
  • Process wire and ACH payments for all entities
  • Maintain daily cash spreadsheet and reconcile daily to bank
  • Update and maintain daily debt file
  • Process borrowing and pay down transactions as necessary
  • Daily positive pay decisioning
  • Process stop payment orders as necessary
  • Clear checks in SAP as needed for multiple entities
  • Resolve potential Treasury and banking related questions from Utility Controllers and Presidents
  • Act as main back up to Treasury Manager for most Treasury functions
  • Assist Treasury Manager, Corporate Controller, and CFO with special projects as needed
  • Provide recommendations for improving department functions and daily tasks based on best practices
  • Occasional overnight travel to various utility locations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of cash management experience required, preferably in a multi-entity corporate environment
  • Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Must have legal right to work in the United States

Computer Skills

  • Experience working with banking software platforms/applications; Bank of America CashPro and PNC Pinacle experience a plus
  • Experience working with SAP preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) with advanced knowledge of Excel required
